I think I have too many Kong models, but I bet I'll eventually get more...

First up, The Dark Horse cold-cast model, sculpted by Ray Harryhausen, about Aurora-sized (1/10 scale if it were a guy in a gorilla suit):

Next, the Geometric vinyl version (1/8 gorilla-suit scale) with a scratch-built base of styrofoam, papier-mache, lichen, and weeds.
There's a bit of a continuity problem between the model (both dressed for New York) and the base (Skull Island), but I like it anyway.

Kong on a Wall - a cool resin model, about 1/6 scale for a guy in a gorilla suit.
Up until a few days ago, I had had no idea who made this sculpt - I bought it off of someone on eBay and all I knew was his eBay ID.
Luckily, someone on the modeling board recognized the sculpt and sent me here:
http://www.fantamationstudio.com/ResinKits.htm

The sculptor's name is Jim Davidson and his company is Fantamation Studios, and he's got two other great Kong kits for sale as well.

I gave the woman brown hair - she's not Ann Darrow, she's the poor girl that Kong mistook for Ann Darrow.
She's about to go "splat!" on the ground when Kong figures it out.

And finally, the old Aurora model. It's like a problem relative - far from perfect, but a part of our lives for so long we love it anyway.
