technical info for the next time we post stuff:

if you have Digital Performer or a similar computer DAW, you can drag the mp3 file into your program after you've downloaded it. Set up a sequence with the correct tempo as listed and my files should line up with your metronome. Record whatever you want and then make a mixdown of it WITHOUT MY MP3 (in other words, if you do a bass, you should make a mix of JUST the bass). This mixdown file will have the same start point as my mp3, and therefore of my master project. Make an MP3 of it if you can (on a Mac, iTunes does a great job) and e-mail it to me. I'll throw it into my master project and see if it fits. If I want to use it, we'll figure out a method of sending the genuine hi-resolution audio files (probably pressing it on a CD would be easiest). This way we can trade MP3s over the web for convenience but then trade the real files (which are ten times bigger) when it comes time to mixdown the CD.

Call me at 617-325-5270 if this is too weird but you want to do it anyway.

Also call me if you'd like to put your in-progress stuff up here in the same manner. Once you've overcome the techno-phobia of the whole thing, it's actually a pretty cool way to get things done.

P.S. I've been recording at 24 bits, 44.1kHz. If you want your tracks to sound spectacular, you should be at 24 bits also. Of course, the MP3 won't be at 24 bits, but the hi-rez files will.
