replacement head sculpted by Michael Berglund

This is a pretty cool kit from an awful movie. I mean REALLY awful, as in so bad, it's bad.
I watched it once in 3D and I couldn't believe they spent 3D money on such a bad film.
But what a cool kit! The base sold me on it.

In the film, you see a lot of shots in a dark studio with the camera on the floor looking up as this guy in a poor-fitting gorilla suit walks around like he's looking for a seat in a bar, even though he's already drunk. I almost expected him to be light up a cigar and open a can of beer.

This is a 3D-printed replacement head sculpted by the same guy that did the kit.
The head that comes with the kit is cross-eyed and ridiculously cartoonish.
I was ready to build the base but throw out the gorilla until this replacement head became available.

Here's the base sans gorilla. This was SO fun to build and paint!

I love the door handle and knocker.

The pictures that come with the kit's instructions show the prone lady with her head close to Konga and her feet further away, which made it look like she was bowing down to him. I turned her around so that she'd look like she fell while running away.
